In a dramatic IPL 2026 match, Rajasthan Royals' questionable tactics handed Delhi Capitals a crucial win. Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar was vocal in his criticism, particularly targeting RR captain Riyan Parag's decision to allow Donovan Ferreira to bowl the 18th over.

With Delhi needing 35 from the final three overs, Ferreira's errant over conceded 16 runs, tilting momentum towards the Capitals. 'A suicidal move,' Gavaskar commented on the decision, highlighting that Ferreira had no confidence from his batting performance and that the pitch offered bowlers little assistance.

Despite excellent outings with the bat by Dhruv Jurel and Riyan Parag, Rajasthan couldn't capitalize due to standout bowling from Delhi's Mitchell Starc. The pacer, with an over hat-trick, shifted the dynamics, ensuring DC's victory. This win places DC seventh with 12 points, while RR sits fifth, also with 12 points.
