In a thrilling IPL 2026 Eliminator clash on Wednesday, Rajasthan Royals demonstrated their prowess by overpowering Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Stadium. With an inspired performance from the 15-year-old batting prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, RR advanced towards claiming their second IPL title.

Sooryavanshi was the fulcrum of Rajasthan's victory, smashing 97 off just 29 balls. His explosive innings comprised 12 sixes and five fours, boosting RR to a formidable 243/8. Dhruv Jurel also contributed significantly with a swashbuckling half-century and praised Sooryavanshi's fearless approach to batting.

In response, Sunrisers Hyderabad faltered early, losing four wickets during the powerplay. Efforts from Ishan Kishan and later Nitish Kumar Reddy and Salil Arora couldn't secure the total as they crumbled for 196, courtesy of a disciplined Rajasthan bowling attack. Rajasthan Royals will now face Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2.
