Reigning MotoGP champion Marc Marquez has tempered expectations as he prepares to rejoin the circuit at this weekend's Italian Grand Prix. Marquez is on a recovery path, having undergone surgeries for injuries sustained in a Le Mans crash.

The rider, who missed the French Grand Prix and the Catalan GP, received medical clearance to participate in Friday's practice session at Mugello. At 33, Marquez expressed concern about reinjuring himself if he pressures to win prematurely.

Marquez emphasized the need to rebuild his strength and focus on his shoulder rehabilitation, considered more critical than the foot fracture. As he remains ninth in the standings, 85 points behind leader Marco Bezzecchi, Marquez remains cautious yet hopeful.
