On Sunday, Danish cyclist Jonas Vingegaard celebrated a significant victory by winning the 2026 Giro d'Italia, marking his fourth Grand Tour title. Vingegaard, who rides for Visma-Lease a Bike, previously triumphed at the Tour de France and the Vuelta a Espana.
His dominance in the race was secured on Saturday during a crucial climb to Piancavallo on stage 20, where he extended his lead by more than five minutes to capture the prestigious pink jersey.
In the final stage in Rome, Italian rider Jonathan Milan, representing Lidl-Trek, delivered a remarkable performance to seize the stage victory in the last kilometre.
