In a move to boost policing efforts, Indore has introduced its first district drone unit, inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. The advanced aerial systems are poised to function as the police force's 'third eye', playing a crucial role in crowd management and maintaining public order.

The launch marks a significant advancement for the Indore Police, who now command a fleet of 18 high-tech drones operated by specially trained personnel. These drones are expected to enhance routine patrolling and surveillance significantly. Yadav highlighted the importance of such technology, already in use by the armed forces during operations like Sindoor.

Further enhancing city security, Yadav announced three new police stations and an adaptable increase in police presence in Indore. Adding to the technological thrust, the 'Traffic Saathi' app was unveiled to streamline traffic management.

Indore Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh emphasized that the drones, equipped with artificial intelligence, will also be instrumental in identifying criminals within crowds and during emergencies like floods and fires.
