Vodafone Idea Expands 5G Footprint: 23 New Cities Welcomed

Debt-ridden telecom firm Vodafone Idea has announced the expansion of its 5G network to an additional 23 cities, including state capitals such as Jaipur, Kolkata, and Lucknow. This expansion forms part of the company's strategic plan to strengthen its digital infrastructure and reach more customers.
The company has already launched its 5G services in key cities like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, and Patna. The latest rollout extends to a host of other cities, indicating aggressive growth despite financial constraints.
With 5G spectrum acquired in 17 out of 22 telecom circles, Vodafone Idea is offering users with 5G-compatible devices unlimited 5G data, with plans starting from Rs 299. Alongside this, the firm has enhanced its 4G infrastructure, resulting in significant improvement in data capacity and connectivity speeds, ahead of plans to install a further 100,000 new towers within the next six months.
