Vodafone Idea Extends 5G Footprint to 23 More Cities
Debt-laden telecom firm Vodafone Idea expands its 5G network to 23 new cities, including Jaipur, Kolkata, and Lucknow. The company offers unlimited 5G data to users with 5G devices and has bolstered its 4G capabilities by enhancing coverage and increasing data capacity and speeds.

Debt-ridden telecom giant Vodafone Idea has announced the expansion of its 5G network to include 23 additional cities, such as major state capitals Jaipur, Kolkata, and Lucknow, according to a statement made on Monday. Initially, the company launched 5G services in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, and Patna.
The latest phase of Vodafone Idea's 5G rollout covers Ahmedabad, Agra, and other significant locations. The telecom leader has obtained 5G spectrum in 17 out of 22 telecom circles. As the rollout progresses, users with 5G-enabled devices can access Vodafone Idea's new services as they become available.
Vodafone Idea is offering unlimited 5G data to customers starting at Rs 299 as an introductory offer. The firm has also improved its 4G infrastructure by deploying services on the 900 MHz band at approximately 65,000 sites and augmenting capacity by adding over 56,000 sites on various spectrum frequencies, culminating in substantial increases in speed and coverage.
