Airtel's AI Shields J&K Residents from Digital Frauds
Bharti Airtel's AI-driven fraud detection system has safeguarded over 2.3 million users in Jammu and Kashmir by blocking harmful links across digital platforms. The system, launched nationwide, examines over a billion URLs daily to protect users from phishing and other fraudulent online threats.

Bharti Airtel announced on Monday that its AI-powered fraud detection system has successfully protected more than 2.3 million users in Jammu and Kashmir. This system, part of a larger nationwide rollout, was implemented in just 47 days.
Automatically enabled for Airtel's mobile and broadband clients, the system scans SMS, WhatsApp, and other digital platforms, blocking access to malicious sites in under 100 milliseconds. Airtel disclosed that it has blocked 2,01,146 harmful links, safeguarding 11.7 crore users across India, including 23 lakh in Jammu and Kashmir.
The company's Chief Operating Officer for Jammu and Kashmir, Dibyendu Aich, emphasized the importance of protecting customers from digital fraud, and expressed pride in offering this solution free of charge. He also mentioned engagements with local law enforcement to enhance cybersecurity measures.
