Aadhaar Authentication Transactions Surge in 2025
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) reported a notable 7.8% increase in Aadhaar authentication transactions in June 2025, reaching 229.33 crore. Cumulatively, transactions have surpassed 15,452 crore. Additionally, e-KYC and face authentication transactions saw significant growth with 39.47 crore and 15.87 crore respectively in the same month.

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) announced a significant increase in Aadhaar authentication transactions, with June 2025 witnessing a 7.8% surge year-on-year to 229.33 crore. This milestone adds to a cumulative transaction record exceeding 15,452 crore since the system's inception.
Remarkably, June saw over 39.47 crore e-KYC transactions, indicating widespread adoption and reliance on the Aadhaar system for electronic verification processes. The increase is evident when compared to both the previous month and the same period in the preceding fiscal year.
Apart from e-KYC, AI/ML-driven Aadhaar Face Authentication also experienced a substantial rise, with transactions increasing from 4.61 crore in June 2024 to 15.87 crore in June 2025. Overall, face authentication transactions have almost reached 175 crore, underscoring the growing importance of biometric verification.
