Wipro's New Venture: Revolutionizing PCB Material Production
Wipro Infrastructure Engineering launches a new division focusing on high-performance materials for PCBs. A new facility in Karnataka will produce laminated materials, supporting sectors like telecommunications and automotive. This initiative aims to reduce India's dependence on imports and boost local manufacturing capabilities.

Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN) has made a significant stride in the electronics sector by launching a division dedicated to manufacturing materials for Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). The new unit, named Wipro Electronic Materials, will house a Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) production facility in Karnataka.
With an investment of approximately Rs 500 crore, this initiative is set to produce over 6 million sheets of copper-clad laminates and other related materials. This development promises to create around 350 jobs, contributing positively to the local economy.
According to Pratik Kumar, CEO of WIN and MD of Wipro Enterprises, this move will bolster the domestic supply chain and enhance global competitiveness by providing locally produced, high-quality materials. It also represents a pivotal moment in reducing India's dependency on copper-clad laminate imports.
