In a bold move to capture more of the telecom market, state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a new 4G plan for just Re 1 with a month's validity. This 'Freedom Plan' offers unlimited voice calls, 2 GB of high-speed data daily, and 100 SMS messages per day.
Designed to celebrate India's Independence Day, the plan allows users to explore BSNL's indigenously developed 4G network, aligning with the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative. The rollout marks a significant step as BSNL aims to establish itself as a key player in the digital landscape.
Despite fierce competition from rivals like Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea, who offer 5G services with entertainment bundles, BSNL remains confident in its strategy. The plan was endorsed by the Union telecom minister, urging BSNL to expand its customer base by 50% in the coming year.
