TPSODL Launches Drone Surveys in Rayagada and Jeypore to Boost Power Reliability

TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has extended its innovative drone-based survey operations to the Rayagada and Jeypore circles. The initiative, part of a broader strategy to integrate smart technologies, aims to improve power distribution reliability and customer service in the region.

Covering an extensive area of 31,195 sq km across several districts, including Koraput and Rayagada, the advanced drones are equipped with high-resolution cameras and GPS systems. These drones enable real-time aerial surveillance, aiding in precise infrastructure documentation and planning, particularly in remote and challenging terrains.

The drone initiative reflects TPSODL's commitment to innovation, offering a smart solution where conventional methods are less feasible. By enabling faster fault detection and improved maintenance processes, TPSODL enhances customer satisfaction and supply reliability, fostering a more responsive distribution network in southern Odisha.
