Ukraine's state-owned defence conglomerate, UkrOboronProm, has established a significant joint venture with French defence giant Thales, according to an announcement by a Ukrainian official on Tuesday.

As Ukraine continues to combat a larger and better-equipped Russian military in the war's fourth year, the Ukrainian government is turning to international partners to expand its domestic defence capabilities. The registration for this venture was finalized in early July, as revealed by UkrOboronProm Director Herman Smentanin via Telegram during his visit to London.

The venture aims to create advanced technological solutions in areas like air defence, radar systems, electronic warfare, and tactical communications, demonstrating a significant step in Ukraine's strategic defence development.
