Videotex International Pvt, a prominent original design manufacturer (ODM) in the television sector, has announced a strategic collaboration with Samsung, the renowned South Korean consumer electronics company. Together, they will manufacture Smart TVs in India utilizing the Samsung Tizen operating system.
This collaboration aims to enhance the viewing experience for Indian consumers by leveraging Samsung's advanced Tizen OS. Videotex aims to bolster its product offerings while actively contributing to the 'Make in India' initiative, as detailed in their joint announcement.
Currently the leading ODM for webOS Hub-operated TVs in India, Videotex sees this collaboration as a complement to its existing capabilities. Arjun Bajaj, Videotex's Director, highlighted that this partnership sets the stage for providing premium, user-friendly entertainment solutions to Indian audiences. Videotex manufactures televisions for various brands, including Havells Group, Reliance Group, and others.
