In a significant push towards technological advancement, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will officiate the commencement of a USD 15 billion Google AI data centre in Visakhapatnam on April 28.
This ambitious project is positioned to transform Visakhapatnam into a key technology hub, with the hyperscale AI data centre boasting a 1 gigawatt capacity. The facility aims to become one of the largest AI data establishments in India, facilitating advanced AI cloud infrastructure and large-scale data storage.
Covering nearly 600 acres in Tarluvada, Adavivaram, and Rambilli, the venture will foster enormous employment opportunities in AI, cloud operations, and cybersecurity. Through strategic collaborations and infrastructure developments, Visakhapatnam is on track to attain global recognition as a center for AI innovation, aligning with India's 'Viksit Bharat 2047' vision.
