Vishwajit Singh, Managing Director of the GE Aerospace Pune facility, emphasized the focus on skill development, noting the impact on local apprenticeships and job creation. The facility's upgrades will support production for GE's various engine programs, including the GE90 and CFM's LEAP engines, solidifying India's role in the global aerospace supply chain.
