India has secured the position of the fourth-largest leader in artificial intelligence on a global scale and is ranked as the fifth most digitalised economy worldwide. This accomplishment comes from the latest report by the ICRIER-Prosus Centre for Internet and Digital Economy, indicating significant progress in the country's digital landscape.

The report underscores a remarkable rise in AI adoption, with 72 percent of AI users now situated in developing countries, prominently featuring India and China. This shift marks a structural change in digital prowess, as India and other Indo-Pacific nations like China and Singapore establish new digital leadership alongside traditional powers.

Beyond leaps in AI, India generated USD 328 billion through digitally delivered trade, hosting the world's second-largest AI talent pool. This performance highlights India's growing influence as a major digital economy, solidifying its status as a global leader in technology and innovation.

Industry leaders noted enhanced connectivity and entrepreneurship as pivotal to India's ascent, while further growth is projected through fostering AI capabilities and reinforcing digital trust within the nation.
