Mumbai witnessed the stunning debut of Wrestling Xtreme Mania (WXM), India's pioneering sportainment pro-wrestling enterprise, at the NSCI Dome. The launch was a part of the WAVES 2025 event, attended by notable figures such as the Governor of Maharashtra, C. P. Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and other prominent personalities.
WXM seeks to revolutionize the Indian sportainment sector following the model of the IPL. By fusing athletic prowess with compelling storytelling, the company aims to highlight local wrestling talent on an international platform. "WXM is a mission to spotlight Indian wrestling globally," said WXM CEO Rishi. He emphasized that the enterprise plans year-round broadcast and live events across major Indian cities.
With former WWE star Jeet now serving as the COO, WXM aspires to reinvigorate India's pro-wrestling legacy. It offers a professional stage and lucrative opportunities for emerging wrestlers, stepping into the void left by WWE's reduced presence. The initiative not only focuses on nurturing homegrown talent but also aims to amplify India's cultural influence globally.
