DHL Express has announced the relocation of its Agra service centre to a larger facility spanning 3,900 square feet. The strategically situated site is designed to boost operational efficiency for the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) sector, a vital hub in the export market. According to DHL, the upgraded facility includes a motorised conveyor system to improve the processing of conveyable goods during peak times.
The expansion is part of DHL's broader plan to fortify its North India network, aligning with the 'Strategy 2030: Accelerating Sustainable Growth.' Agra's MSME sector is diverse, covering industries from traditional handicrafts like Zari Zardozi and marble carvings to contemporary manufacturing such as leather goods and footwear.
DHL's new establishment features dedicated parking for pickup and delivery vehicles, a separate area for non-conveyable goods, and increased processing space—enhancements that strive to maintain Agra's competitive edge in global markets. Furthermore, DHL plans to collaborate with the Directorate General of Foreign Trade to enhance capabilities for Agra's MSMEs, equipping them for success in international e-commerce. With the new centre, DHL commits to maintaining a 98.1% transit time service from Agra, as pointed out by senior leadership within DHL Express.
