Amid heightened security concerns, all airports in Himachal Pradesh are on high alert, primarily the Kangra airport, which has been shut down for civilian traffic. Enhanced security measures have been enforced, as confirmed by the Kangra Airport Director.
The cause of this heightened security is Operation Sindoor, leading to the cancellation of all flights and placing airports in the northern and western regions under strict surveillance.
Despite these measures, the airport facilities remain operational for the Air Force, as stated by Dharmender Sharma, who addressed the media regarding the situation.
