A significant 9.5-km portion of the Singtam-Dikchu Road in Sikkim, expertly crafted by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), was ceremoniously inaugurated this week, as per an official release.

The ceremony, aligned with the 66th Raising Day of the BRO, saw Defence Minister Rajnath Singh virtually presiding from New Delhi, and Sikkim's Minister for Roads and Bridges, Nar Bahadur Dahal, gracing the occasion on-site at Singtam.

Undertaken as part of BRO's Project Swastik, this initiative aims to enhance mobility across Sikkim's demanding landscapes, essential for strategic sensitivity. The BRO also celebrated the completion of 50 other infrastructure projects nationwide, underscoring the vital role of such developments in fortifying national defense and regional cohesion.
