In a notable development, Indian Abacus Pvt. Ltd. of Chennai has been inducted as a Council Member unit of the World Association of Abacus and Mental Arithmetic (WAAMA), based in China. The announcement came during the Second Meeting of the Sixth Council and the Ninth Seminar for Academic Exchanges held on April 10, 2025, in Beijing.

The event attracted over 80 directors and representatives from WAAMA member units globally and was conducted in a hybrid format, combining virtual and on-site participation.
