Kurukshetra is emerging as a beacon for sustainable agriculture in India, according to Member of Parliament Naveen Jindal. Speaking at the inaugural session of the Agro-Tech Exhibition and Startup Conclave, Jindal praised the city's commitment to natural farming and its potential as a national model. The three-day event, hosted at Kurukshetra University, aims to enhance sustainable practices through innovation.
In his address to a packed audience of farmers, startups, and agricultural experts, Jindal highlighted Kurukshetra's sacred legacy as a guide for the future of natural farming. He mentioned how the movement is gaining momentum under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Acharya Devvrat and Padma Shri Dr. Hariom. Jindal urged farmers to adopt chemical-free methods to improve soil health, conserve water, and boost their income with high-value produce.
The event showcased the latest agri-tech innovations, coordinated by the Naveen Jindal Foundation in collaboration with IRMA-ISEED. Jindal encouraged gradual adoption, suggesting that the conclave could be a turning point for sustainable farming across India. He also announced new initiatives for livestock management and youth empowerment, stressing the importance of documenting livestock lineage to enhance productivity, and lauded India's commitment to peace and security.
