Air India announced on Friday an extension of its suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv until May 25. This decision was made in response to a missile attack near the Tel Aviv airport earlier this month.

The airline had initially suspended its services until May 6, then extended the suspension to May 8, before further prolonging the halt in operations. This makes Air India the only Indian carrier to offer direct services to Tel Aviv, conducting five flights weekly from Delhi under normal circumstances.

In a statement issued on Friday, Air India confirmed that customers with valid tickets for travel up to May 25, 2025, will be eligible for a one-time waiver on any rescheduling charges or a full refund in the event of ticket cancellations. The decision to reroute its Delhi-Tel Aviv flight to Abu Dhabi on May 4 underscores the heightened security concerns necessitating this extended suspension.
