Flight operations at Chandigarh International Airport have resumed after a temporary closure due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. The airport's reopening was confirmed by Chandigarh International Airport Limited (CHIAL) and the Mohali deputy commissioner.
According to a statement by CHIAL, services at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport resumed at 10:30 am on May 12, 2025. Passengers have been advised to confirm their travel plans with airlines to ensure smooth transit.
The announcement came after New Delhi and Islamabad reached an agreement on Saturday to cease cross-border conflict. This truce, followed by days of drone and missile strikes, will be further addressed in DGMO-level talks scheduled for Monday.
