The Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) is taking proactive measures to enhance disaster response capabilities among its employees. In the Una division, a comprehensive disaster awareness and training program kicked off at a workshop in Rampur.
Scheduled to run until May 28, the training aims to equip about 190 HRTC employees with vital disaster management skills over 13 batches. Participants will learn critical procedures such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), basic life-saving techniques, and safe evacuation methods.
This program, as stated by District Disaster Management Authority Chairman and Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal, underscores the importance of capacity building within the transport sector, ensuring staff are well-prepared to handle emergencies effectively.
