Chile's celebrated kiwifruit is making a significant impact in India, renowned for its robust taste and powerful health benefits. Spearheaded by Frutas de Chile, a promotional campaign titled 'The Power of Vitamin C, Fresh from Chile!' aims to educate Indian consumers about this superfruit's nutritional advantages.

Chilean Kiwifruit is acclaimed as a nutrient-dense fruit, loaded with essential vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, dietary fiber, actinidin, potassium, and folate. Each serving offers an impressive 117% of the daily recommended intake of vitamin C and 21% of dietary fiber.

Rima Rao, a nutritionist, emphasizes the fruit's digestive benefits, noting its rich fiber and enzyme content aids in digestion and may help in regulating blood sugar levels. Chilean Kiwi is positioned as a natural multivitamin, outperforming oranges in vitamin C content and bananas in potassium amounts.

Carlos Cruzat, President of the Chilean Kiwifruit Committee, expressed delight over the embrace of Chilean Kiwifruit by Indian consumers, emphasizing the concentrated efforts to strengthen connections through diverse campaigns. Sumit Saran, the market representative, noted the increased consumption aligns with India's health-conscious trends.

Strengthened by trade pacts, the availability of the fruit is expanding to more Indian cities, with favorable pricing due to Chile's preferential trade agreement with India, assures Cruzat. Over the next three months, Chilean Kiwifruit will be accessible via local vendors and online platforms, enhancing consumer access and promoting healthy dietary choices.
