Stellantis Recalls Citroen C3 and DS3 Over Faulty Airbags

In response to safety concerns, Stellantis has issued a recall for 82,000 Citroen C3 and DS3 vehicles in France due to the presence of defective Takata airbags. This action comes after a fatal incident involving a 2014 Citroen C3 in Reims, highlighting the urgency of the recall.
The French automobile producer identified vehicles produced between 2014 and 2019 as part of the 'stop drive' recall campaign. Thus far, Stellantis has successfully repaired 481,000 of the 690,000 affected vehicles in France, demonstrating significant progress yet highlighting the ongoing risk to drivers and passengers.
A statement from the French transport ministry emphasized the immediate removal of all affected Citroen C3 and DS3 models from the roadways following the tragic event. The recall represents part of a broader effort to ensure road safety following the catastrophic malfunction.
