Taiwanese cleanroom companies are riding a wave of expansion in the global semiconductor industry, as major chipmakers ramp up production, particularly in the United States and Southeast Asia. United Integrated Services Co. (UIS), a veteran supplier for Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), is a major beneficiary of this trend.
From January to May 2025, UIS secured a record NTD 83.68 billion (USD 2.57 billion) in cleanroom contracts, largely driven by TSMC's $65 billion investment in three new Arizona factories. While one factory is already operational, a second is nearing completion, setting UIS for a historical sales year.
Another key player, L&K Engineering Co., reported strong orders, totalling NTD 95.76 billion (USD 3.23 billion), driven by Taiwanese projects in Southeast Asia. The thriving demand underscores the critical role of cleanrooms in chip production, with Taiwanese firms positioned at the forefront of this booming sector.
