Andhra Pradesh is making concerted efforts to provide employment opportunities for 20 lakh youth over the next five years, as stated by Lanka Dinakar, Chairman of the state's Twenty Point Programme. The focus is on boosting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and accelerating industrial development.
The NDA coalition government has attracted an impressive Rs 9.30 lakh crore in investments in just one year. This influx is part of a broader strategy to enhance the contribution of MSMEs, which currently account for 30% of the state's GDP.
Efforts are also underway to strengthen coordination between MSMEs, the Society for Employment Generation and Enterprise Development in Andhra Pradesh (SEEDAP), and the Industries Department. These initiatives aim to provide robust skill training programs and establish new industrial units, particularly in underdeveloped districts.
