The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a crucial advisory regarding the closure of several vital roadways in the capital amid the Kanwar Yatra pilgrimage. The roads will be shut until 8 AM on July 23 to manage the influx of devotees, causing significant traffic changes.
The advisory highlights that the left carriageway of GT Road, stretching from Keshav Chowk roundabout to Yudhishthir Setu (ISBT), will be inaccessible to vehicles starting from 8 AM on July 21. This precaution is aimed at facilitating the safe passage of Kanwariyas during this auspicious period.
Among other major routes undergoing closure are GT Road from Apsara Border to Shahdara and Seemapuri, along with Anand Vihar to Apsara Border. Commuters are urged to steer clear of these areas and follow designated alternative routes to minimize disruption.
