A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 36-year-old man and left three others injured when a speeding truck crashed into pedestrians in Southeast Delhi's Sarita Vihar area. The mishap occurred Monday morning, drawing a swift response from local authorities.
Upon receiving a PCR call around 10:45 AM, police arrived at the scene near Okhla Tank Bus Stand. Eyewitnesses recounted how the truck, approaching from Ashram, struck a motorcycle before barreling into pedestrians. The driver attempted to escape, but was intercepted by traffic officers near Apollo Hospital.
The driver, identified as Brhamdeo Singh from Bihar, has been arrested, and the truck seized. Authorities have registered a case citing multiple offenses under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The investigation into the circumstances continues as the victims receive treatment for serious injuries.
