Westlife Foodworld, the operator of McDonald's restaurants in West and South India, has reported a significant 62.5% decline in its consolidated net profit to Rs 1.22 crore for the June quarter. This marks a stark contrast to the Rs 3.25 crore profit recorded in the same period last year.
The drop in profit comes amid a 6.45% increase in sales, which rose to Rs 653.25 crore in the June quarter. This growth was driven by a positive momentum in Same-Store Sales Growth (SSSG), stable guest counts, and an average check rise of 0.5%. However, total expenses also saw a climb of 7.43% in the same quarter.
The company continues to expand, adding nine new restaurants and crossing the 100 Drive-Thrus milestone, bringing its total to 444 across 71 cities. Digital sales have also climbed significantly, now contributing 75% to total sales. Westlife Foodworld remains optimistic about future growth, as outlined in its Vision 2027 framework.
