Explosive Impact: Safety Concerns on Pakistan's Jaffer Express

A recent explosion derailed three coaches of the Quetta-bound Jaffer Express, causing disruptions and injuring one person in Pakistan's Sindh province. Officials estimate it might take five hours to restore normal train services. An investigation has been launched by the Sindh administration to determine the cause of the blast.

According to Sukkur Railways Divisional Superintendent Jamshaid Alam, the explosion occurred while the train was en route from Peshawar to Quetta, near Shikarpur. Rescue teams have been dispatched to undertake necessary repairs, but train operations are presently suspended, leading to significant inconvenience for passengers.

This incident is the latest in a series of attacks targeting the Jaffer Express. In past incidents, remote-controlled explosives have derailed train sections, and the thread of hijacking by armed groups poses a continued threat, reflecting a pressing need for enhanced security measures.
