Tragic Canal Plunge: 11 Dead in SUV Accident

In a devastating incident on Sunday, an SUV plunged into the Saryu canal in the district, claiming 11 lives and leaving four others injured, according to local police reports.
Police Station House Officer Krishn Gopal Rai reported that the vehicle was en route from Sihagaon village to the Prithvinath Temple with 15 passengers. It met with the tragic accident near Belwa Bahuta. Rescue operations, assisted by villagers, recovered the bodies from the submerged vehicle.
Officials have confirmed that the deceased included six women, two men, and three children. Survivors were sent to a hospital for treatment. An eyewitness cited a slippery road caused by rain as a contributing factor. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced financial aid for the victims' families.
