SpiceJet Incident: Senior Army Officer's Outburst at Srinagar Airport Sparks Legal Action

A senior Army officer has been accused of violently attacking four SpiceJet airline employees at Srinagar airport after being asked to pay for extra cabin baggage. According to reports, the altercation erupted after the officer was informed of the excess baggage fees. Despite being asked to comply, the passenger tried to forcibly board the flight, contravening aviation security protocols. The confrontation quickly escalated, with video clips showing the violent nature of the attack.

SpiceJet has condemned the incident, filed a police complaint, and initiated proceedings to bar the passenger from future flights. The airline has also consulted the civil aviation ministry, urging strict action. CCTV footage has been submitted to authorities, and the case is under police investigation.
