The Akshaya Patra Foundation (TAPF) and Texas Instruments (TI) India have announced a major initiative to provide 40,000 student meals, marking a significant expansion of their collaborative efforts. The announcement comes as TI celebrates its 40th anniversary in India and a 12-year partnership with TAPF focused on educational support and child nutrition.

During a tour of TAPF's advanced centralised kitchen, TI leaders witnessed firsthand the sophisticated meal-preparation process, from automated cooking to efficient last-mile distribution. The teams visited a local government school to honor top students and teachers and serve meals, unveiling a 'Thank You TI' wall to highlight TI's commitment to corporate responsibility.

Since 2014, TI India's contributions to TAPF include key infrastructure gifts, like food delivery vehicles and kitchen equipment, benefiting over 3.75 lakh children. In the fiscal year 2023-24, TI funded new tools for kitchens aiding 8,000 daily. "TI India's collaboration with Akshaya Patra is a testament to our commitment to impactful community initiatives," said Santhosh Kumar, TI India's president.
