Akasa Air Soars to New Heights with SAARC and ASEAN Expansion Plans

Akasa Air, a rapidly growing carrier, revealed ambitious plans to expand its operations into the SAARC and ASEAN regions in the coming years, as announced on Thursday. The airline intends to capitalize on the upcoming Navi Mumbai and Noida airports to build a comprehensive flight network.
Having commenced operations in 2022, Akasa Air aims to boost its fleet to more than 30 aircraft by year-end, with a focus on a 30% increase in Available Seat Kilometres (ASKs) before March 2026. At present, the airline operates 30 planes and flies to 23 domestic cities and five international destinations.
Akasa Air also reported serving over 19 million passengers within 36 months, with an impressive 87% load factor. The airline's past fiscal year saw a significant revenue increase of 49% and a 48% growth in capacity. CEO Vinay Dube emphasized the company's vision to be among the top 30 global airlines by the decade's end.
