Two people lost their lives and 14 were injured when a tractor-trolley fell into a deep gorge in Maharashtra's Nashik district, police reported on Monday.
The incident happened on Sunday evening as the group was returning to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar from the Pinakeshwar Mahadev temple. The vehicle's brakes failed, leading to the driver losing control and the trolley plunging into a 200-foot gorge, according to a police official.
The victims included two women, Kantabai Narayan Gaike and Kamalabai Shyamrao Jagdale, both from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The injured were initially treated at Bolthan Primary Health Centre and later transferred to Ghati Hospital.
