In a concerted effort to enhance early childhood education, Room to Read India has unveiled the seventh edition of its pivotal program, 'India Gets Reading'. With a theme centered on cultural representation, 'My Book, My Story,' the initiative embarks on a journey to reach over 40 lakh children across the nation.

Country Director Poornima Garg highlights the deeply transformative impact of reflecting children's lives and languages in literature. The campaign, focusing on inclusion and empowerment, aligns with the goals of the National Education Policy 2020. It encourages parental and educator involvement in creating reading spaces that nurture confident and curious young minds.

Significant 2025 campaign activities include a ten-day Pledge Reading Time, a dynamic Read-a-thon, and innovative mobile libraries. These initiatives aim to make diverse literature accessible to communities and reinforce the belief that every child deserves a voice in shaping their own educational journey.
