The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has taken decisive action against food adulteration, seizing approximately 6,500 kg of adulterated ghee from Korova Milk Product Private Limited in Rajkot, Gujarat.

Upon laboratory analysis, the seized ghee was found to contain vegetable fat, rendering it 'sub-standard' according to the Food Safety and Standards Regulations, 2011. The implicated Food Business Operator was given a month to challenge the findings but failed to do so.

This prompted a follow-up inspection on August 20, leading to the confiscation of all food ingredients and finished goods. FSSAI remains committed to its zero-tolerance policy on food adulteration, emphasizing that further legal actions will follow based on ongoing investigations.
