In anticipation of upcoming festivities, the West Bengal government announced early salary disbursements for September, slated to occur on the 24th and 25th of the month. This announcement came from the state's Finance Department as the region gears up for the widely celebrated Durga Puja holidays starting September 26.
The circular clarifies that the early payouts will include not just regular salaries but also grant-in-aid payments, various wages, remunerations, stipends, and honorariums, providing much-needed financial respite to the employees. However, pension disbursements will continue as planned, with funds released on October 1.
The government has further ensured that direct benefit transfers under welfare schemes such as 'Lakshmir Bhandar' will also hit beneficiaries' accounts by October 1. Finance department officials have instructed departmental officers to coordinate with treasury services to facilitate these early disbursements efficiently.
