Telangana Pushes for Social Justice Through Reservation Bills

Celebrating Hyderabad's merger with India, he emphasized pressing the Centre for swift approval, advocating social justice, and stressing on Telangana's water rights.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday called on the Centre to approve two Bills passed by the state legislature, which aim to provide 42% reservation for Backward Communities in education and local governance.
During the 'Praja Palana Dinostavam', celebrating Hyderabad's integration with India, Reddy highlighted that the extended reservations would facilitate political representation for 23,973 members of Backward Communities. He urged the BJP-led central government to cease hindering the state's social justice initiatives.
Reddy also reaffirmed Telangana's commitment to securing its share of water from the Krishna and Godavari rivers, underlying their significance to the region.
