In a strategic move to enhance employee satisfaction and promote long-term growth, Hyundai Motor India has announced a substantial wage increase. The automaker revealed a Rs 31,000 per month hike in employee compensation, which takes effect from April 1, 2024, through March 31, 2027.
This significant development is the result of a mutually beneficial accord between the company and the United Union of Hyundai Employees (UUHE), the recognised union representing 90% of the technician and workmen cadre. It reflects a shared commitment to a progressive workplace culture.
Beyond the salary hike, Hyundai Motor India will continue its focus on employee welfare through health coverage and wellness programs. This agreement underscores the company's dedication to fostering trust, respect, and constructive dialogue with its workforce.
