Global Outcry: Saudi Arabia and Qatar Condemn Israel's Gaza Offensive
Saudi Arabia condemned Israel's ground operation in Gaza City and urged the U.N. Security Council to intervene. The offensive has faced criticism from regional countries, including Qatar, which described it as genocidal. A U.N. report accusing Israel of genocide was dismissed as 'scandalous' by Israel's ambassador in Geneva.

Saudi Arabia has issued a stern condemnation of Israel's ongoing ground operation in Gaza City, following the launch of a large-scale assault by Israeli forces. The Foreign Ministry called upon the U.N. Security Council to take decisive action to stop what it terms as the killing, starvation, and forced displacement perpetrated by Israel.
The Kingdom joins a growing chorus of regional disapproval, with Qatar describing the ground offensive as an extension of what it labels a genocidal war against Palestinians. Qatar has been actively hosting and mediating talks aimed at achieving a ceasefire amidst the escalating conflict.
This comes in the wake of a U.N. Commission of Inquiry's explosive conclusion that Israel is guilty of genocide in Gaza. The findings were met with strong opposition from Israel's ambassador to Geneva, Daniel Meron, who decried the report as 'scandalous' and accused its authors of being aligned with 'Hamas proxies'.
