In Seoul's recent startup showcase, LG featured components for upcoming Nuri rocket launches, marking a stronger commitment to space exploration, according to Pulse from Maeil Business Newspaper Korea.

During 'Superstart Day 2025' at LG Science Park, the company revealed a joint space project with Unmanned Exploration Laboratory, the country's exclusive lunar rover developer. Highlights included a camera module for Nuri's fourth launch in November 2025, as well as battery cells and an antenna for the fifth launch in June 2026.

LG's official noted cost-effective and swift development of these components by adapting mass-produced technologies for space conditions, with an eventual aim for a lunar mission by 2032. LG has a longstanding interest in space, having supported NASA's suit technology with batteries in 2016.

Market research predicts the global aerospace market, worth $476.6 billion in 2025, could exceed $1 trillion by 2034, presenting immense growth opportunities. LG is ramping up its robotics investments, joining forces with Figure AI and other tech giants.

The showcase emphasized AI, biotech, and computing technologies prioritized by LG's leadership, aiming to emulate international innovation hubs. The event featured nascent space-focused startups like Walker in Space, SpaceBeam, and TelePIX, reflecting a competitive selection and LG's collaborative spirit.
