In response to a reduction in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on essential food items, 'Nandini' milk products have seen a notable price decrease. Effective from September 22, 2025, the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has revised its pricing on products such as ghee, butter, and paneer.
The government's decision to lower GST on necessities like Ghee, Paneer, and Cheese has resulted in decreased prices for these popular dairy products. Consumers can now enjoy these staple items at a lower cost, with 1000 ml Ghee priced at Rs 610, down from Rs 650, and 500 gm of unsalted butter reduced to Rs 286 from Rs 305.
Additional reductions include Mozzarella cheese, which now costs Rs 450 per kg, and a 1000 ml tub of vanilla ice cream, now priced at Rs 178, representing noticeable savings for consumers. These changes have provided much-needed relief to households reliant on these goods for their daily needs.
