Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury car manufacturer, announced its strategies to expand its electric vehicle (EV) presence in India, targeting accelerated sales in the upcoming 18-20 months.
Recently, the company launched the CLA BEV, priced starting at Rs 55 lakh, marking its entry into India's entry-level segment of electric cars. This launch is just the beginning, as the company plans to roll out several new EVs in the Indian market.
With over 400 orders within 20 days, the CLA BEV has garnered a strong response. CEO Santosh Iyer emphasized the importance of these next-generation platforms in shaping Mercedes-Benz's long-term EV journey in India.
