KIFS Housing Finance Limited has announced the appointment of Selvin Uthaman as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Uthaman brings over two decades of comprehensive experience in financial services, particularly within the affordable housing sector.
Previously, Uthaman played a significant role as Chief Business Officer at Aavas Financiers, where he was instrumental in enhancing the company's affordable housing portfolio. His leadership at Aavas was marked by an emphasis on process-driven business models catering to underserved and self-employed customers. His career also includes pivotal roles at major financial institutions such as Axis Bank, IIFL Finance, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd.
Upon his appointment, Uthaman acknowledged the vast potential within India's affordable housing market, particularly among self-employed individuals. He expressed his vision of building a technology-driven housing finance institution characterized by strong asset quality and sustainable practices.
