In a strategic push towards industrialization, West Bengal BJP president Samik Bhattacharya on Tuesday proposed a new land policy to attract large-scale businesses to the state.

Addressing a business chamber meeting, Bhattacharya highlighted plans to potentially scrap the Urban Land Ceiling Act and introduce contract farming, currently prohibited in West Bengal.
